Follow-up Comment #1, bug #40868 (project gnash):
So, you got results like this: Loading Image...
and this: Loading Image...
or this?: Loading Image...
The thing is, YouTube offers different player
for different Flash implementation. When Youtube detected
Gnash, they're kind enough to give out a "Classic" version of player.
(If you used proprietary Adobe Flash, you'll get a "Modern" version of player
which Gnash is not yet capable to play)
But YouTube somehow, offers only 240p/360p/720p resolution on "Classic"
player.
This is not really specific to Gnash, since the last screenshot above is
really captured using Adoble Flash Player 11 but with forced usage of
"Classic" player.
Hope you'd understand.
Note: Screenshots above were captured using these configuration
- using Gnash 0.8.10 and Iceweasel
3.0.6
- http://www.youtube.com/v/UxyFwDQN08s?version=2 using Gnash 0.8.10
- http://www.youtube.com/v/UxyFwDQN08s?version=2 using Adobe Flash Player 11
This video offers 144p/240p/360p/480p/720p resolution when visited
via http://youtu.be/UxyFwDQN08s using
Opera 11.51 with Adobe Flash Player 11 on Windows platform.
Screenshots are also attached for reference.
System (Gnash): Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 Lenny i386
System (Adobe Flash Player): Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3
(file #30270)
